History of AJAY MT

We will forever be grateful to Brian Kahn, whose passion and vision laid the foundation for our organization. Without Brian, AJAY MT would not exist. We work intentionally to continue his legacy and honor his memory.

2014: A committed group of statewide volunteers begins collaborating and researching best practices for our youth. Brian Kahn was the visionary behind the project.

2017: AJAY MT began operating under the fiscal sponsorship of the 501(c)(3) Friends of Francis – People of Diverse Faiths and Beliefs Working for a Better World (FoF).

2019: After successfully working with communities around Montana to build life and work skills in youth for almost two years, AJAY MT applied for its own 501(c)(3) status, which was confirmed on August 26, 2019.
